CNIGA
CCAP is an Associate Member of CNIGA (California Nations Indian Gaming Association) and regularly attends their bi-monthly meetings. CCAP’s goal is to cultivate open and productive communication with tribes about the need for and benefits of smoke-free tribal casinos.
CNIGA is, a non-profit organization comprised of federally-recognized tribal governments, was founded in 1988 and currently has 38 tribes as members.
CNIGA’s goals include:
- Promote, protect, and preserve the interests of tribes through development of sound gaming policies and practices in Indian country
- Assist Indian tribes and the federal government by providing technical assistance relating to the Indian gaming industry
- Preserve and protect the integrity of gaming conducted in Indian country
- Maintain and advocate for Indian tribal sovereignty
